Tashkent is hosting the inaugural Silk Road Finance & Technology Forum from August 24–26 — organized by the Central Bank of Uzbekistan and the Singapore-based Global Finance & Technology Network (GFTN), co-hosted by Ant International.
The forum brings together more than 6,000 participants from 74 countries, nearly 200 speakers, and over 25 investors managing $4 billion in assets. Sessions are held at the Central Asian Expo Uzbekistan (August 24–25) and the Islamic Civilization Center (August 26).
The program is built around five tracks: open banking, digital assets, cross-border payments, Islamic finance, and innovation and investment. The closing day — “The Azimuth” program — is dedicated entirely to Islamic finance, covering standards, Shariah governance, liquidity, and cross-border capital.
This is no coincidence: the new Islamic banking law, in effect since June 2026, opens the door for Uzbekistan to the nearly $6 trillion global Islamic finance market.
Amanah Consulting Group’s founder and head, Husan Hasanov, is personally attending the forum — within the Islamic finance track, alongside the industry’s leading experts and investors.
